✨ The Role

As a Senior Frontend Engineer, you’ll lead development of Optimism’s core governance products:

• Optimism Governance App – The interface for 100K+ OP token holders.
• Retro Funding Platform – Distributing millions in ecosystem incentives.
• Governance API – Powering decentralized governance at scale.

*This is a high-impact role for engineers passionate about L2s and public goods funding.*

🎯 Key Responsibilities

1. Frontend Development

• Build React/Next.js applications with TypeScript for Optimism’s governance stack.
• Collaborate with Optimism core devs to ship Superchain-aligned features.

2. Ethereum & L2 Expertise

• Interface with indexers (Subgraph, Ponder) and smart contracts.
• Optimize for L2-specific UX (gas costs, cross-chain interactions).

3. Ecosystem Contributions

• Shape open-source tooling for the Optimism Collective.
• Explore integrations with EAS, IPFS, and Farcaster.

🔍 Who We’re Looking For

✅ Must-Have Skills:

• 6+ years frontend experience (React/Next.js/Remix + TypeScript).
• Ethereum/L2 fluency – can read Solidity and understand rollup architectures.
• Production-grade mindset – track record of scalable, maintainable systems.

✅ Nice-to-Haves:

• Contributions to Optimism/Superchain ecosystem.
• Experience with retroactive funding mechanisms or DAO tooling.
• Familiarity with crypto design patterns (wallet connectivity, onchain data).
